I REALLY DON'T HAVE ANY, UH, ANY UPDATES FROM TUESDAY'S UPDATE OTHER THAN WE CONTINUE TO, UH, TO WORK ON A FEW WATER MAIN BREAKS, AS WE'VE MENTIONED BEFORE, UH, WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING CONCLUSIVE AS OF YET, BUT WE'RE GETTING SOME INFORMATION IN, UH, REGARDING, UM, UH, SOME CHEMISTRY WITHIN THE SOFTENING, HOPEFULLY ADDING SOME LINING AND, UH, UM, SOME THINGS WITHIN THE WATER SYSTEMS. SO, UH, AS SOON AS WE GET SOME CONCLUSIVE INFORMATION BACK ON THAT, UH, PERHAPS MORE

[00:05:01]

I CAN ROCK ANY QUESTIONS, COMMENTS FOR MR. SCHOMER.

OKAY.

NEXT UP IS OUR NUMBER 10, WHICH HAS PENDING BUSINESS.

I THINK MR. WEBB HAD WELL MR. MR. WEB.

YES.

UH, HE, UM, UH, HE IS, UH, OUT OF THE HOSPITAL, UH, STILL SOME FOLLOWUPS AND THINGS LIKE THAT TO UNDERGO, UM, AND STILL RECOVERING FROM BEING KNOCKED AROUND PRETTY SIGNIFICANTLY.

BUT, UM, I'M STILL WORKING THROUGH ALL THOSE DETAILS AND, UH, RECOVERY GETTING BACK TO, UH, TO WORK IN, IN EVERYDAY LIFE.

SO CERTAINLY COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE.

SO, UH, CERTAINLY APPRECIATE ALL THE POSITIVE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND I'M SURE NICK DOES AS WELL.

AND I'M A SITUATION THAT CERTAINLY COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE.

YES, AS YOU RECALL, PREVIOUS COUNCIL MEETING, WE DISCUSSED THIS AS THE ORDINANCE FOR THE ASSESSMENT.

WE PASS THE RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY AT THE LAST MEETING.

THIS IS AT THE SECOND READING.

THESE ASSESSMENTS GO ALONG WITH THE, UM, THE DEAL WITH THE WINDBROOK SALE AND THE CONTINUATION OF THE BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION OF THOSE LOTS.

AS YOU RECALL, THE, UM, THE CITY SAT ON THAT LAND FOR QUITE SOME TIME, UH, AND, UH, HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE, GET THE LAND SOLD AND DEVELOPED AND ACTIVATED.

SO, UH, WE APPRECIATE THE CONSIDERATION OF THE ASSESSMENTS THIS EVENING, SO THAT, UH, ADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTION AND HOMES CAN GO IN UNDER THAT PLAN.

AND TO A POINT ASKED TO FIND RAMIREZ AND ERIC RICHARDSON TO THE CULTURE AND DIVERSITY CITIZEN ACCIDENT, ACTION COMMISSION FOR A TERM ENDING DECEMBER 31ST, 2021.

THEN MR. ROGERS, ANY FURTHER COMMENTS? UH, YES.

UH, YOU MAY RECALL THAT THE, UH, EXISTING MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION, MATT, AND, UH, THROUGH A SCREENING AND INTERVIEW PROCESS, I'VE MADE THESE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THESE FIVE INDIVIDUALS TO COUNCIL FOR APPOINTMENT TO THIS COMMISSION.

UM, THEY ARE TWO STAGGERED TERMS. THE BACKGROUND CHECKS HAVE ALL BEEN COMPLETED AND WE'RE RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THIS MOTION TONIGHT.

WE'D ALSO LIKE TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND THANK THE SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF APPLICANTS THAT WE DID HAVE FOR THESE VACANCIES.

UM, THERE WAS A HUGE RESPONSE TO, UH, THIS COMMISSION AND, UH, WE HAVE A LOT OF QUALITY CANDIDATES APPLY.

UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WERE ONLY FIVE SLOTS AT THIS TIME.

SO, UH, WE JUST LIKE TO ACKNOWLEDGE ALL THE PEOPLE THAT SUBMITTED AN APPLICATION AND, UH, SOUGHT APPOINTMENTS WITH THIS PARTICULAR CONDITION IS THINKING MR. ROGERS, YOU'RE POINTING THAT OUT.

AND CERTAINLY I WOULD LIKE TO THINK NOW ALL THOSE APPLICANTS FOR APPLYING TO, UH, WE DEFINITELY NEED LOTS OF PEOPLE TO VOLUNTEER FOR ALL THE DIFFERENT POSITIONS THAT WE HAVE.

SO I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO PERSONALLY THINK I APPRECIATE THAT.

AND AT THE WORK SESSION, UH, THIS WAS RECOMMENDED TO BE APPROVED THIS EVENING.

SO I WOULD ENTERTAIN A MOTION.
