ANOTHER REALLY JUST AMAZING PARTNERSHIP THAT EXISTS IN THE CITY, THIS GOES ALL THE WAY BACK TO WHEN I WAS ACTUALLY PURCHASING MS EQUIT AT THE FIRE DIVISION. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE AWARE, BUT FIREHOUSE SUBS HAS A FUND THEY PUT MONEY INTO EVERY YEAR THROUGH ALL THEIR LOCATIONS, AND THERE'S A GRANT PROCESS THAT'S ABLE TO BE APPLIED BY LOCAL FIRST RESPONDERS. WE HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE, TWO OF OUR CPR MACHINES THAT WE BOUGHT, MAN, 2011 AND MAYBE 2013, WERE FUNDED BY FIREHOUSE SUBS. THOSE WERE T $11,000 EACH. WE WERE AWARDED THIS PAST WEEK $21,000 TO BUY SOME NEW RESCUE EQUIPMENT, WHICH ARE -- STRUTS AND ALL THE ATTACHMENTS THAT GO WITH THAT. SO AGAIN, WANT TO GIVE A SHOUTOUT TO FIREHOUSE SUBS AND THEIR ABILITY TO CONTINUE TO PUT BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY. THEY'VE BEEN A GOOD PARTER SINCE THEY'RE BEEN A BUSINESS HERE. SO KUDOS TO THEM. AND KUDOS TO THE FIRE JUST FOR, AGAIN, REACHING OUT AND SEARCHING FOR THESE GRANTS THAT WE CAN GET. POLICE DIVISION, AGAIN, ALSO -- ALWAYS LOOKING FOR UNIQUE WAYS TO GET STUFF AND GARNER STUFF. THE CADETS HAVE LONG BEEN TRYING TO GET SOME WHAT THEY CALL DEFENSE CARRIERS, WAYS TO HAVE THEIR NAME, SOME REFLECTION, THINGS TO CARRY WHILE THEY'RE OUT DOING -- YOU KNOW, YOU'LL SEE THEM AT THE FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVAL PARKING CARS. YOU'LL SEE THEM DOWN AT THE WARRIORS SOCCER COMPLEX WHEN THE SOCCER IS IN SEASON AND STUFF OF THAT NATURE, SO JUST, THEY DO A GREAT JOB. THE COMMISSION AGAIN -- >> SO I'M HERE TO GIVE AN UPDATE ON THE HUBER HEIGHTS CULTURE AND DIVERSITY CITIZEN

ACTION COMMISSION. SINCE THE LAST TIME I GAVE AN UPDATE, THE THING THAT WE HAVE DONETHE FOURTH OF JULY PARADE. WE HAVE MOST OF OUR COMMISSION MEMBERS OUT THERE WALKING DOWN BRANDT PIKE, G OUT CANDY, AND HANDING OUT CARDS FOR MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL TO MAKE COMMUNITY AWARE OF WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN ON SEPTEMBER 13TH. AND THEN, OBVIOUSLY, ON SEPTEMBER 13TH WE HAD OUR MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL, WHICH WAS A SMASH HIT. AND A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO IBRAHIM, JEFFREY, MOLLY, AND MIA, BECAUSE THEY PUT ALL THE HARD WORK TOGETHER. THEY WERE THE COMMITTEE THAT RAN THAT. THIS YEAR'S FESTIVAL WAS AUTHENTICALLY MULTICULTURE. THE EVENT, THEY FELT LIKE WAS A GREAT ONE FOR THOSE THAT ATTENDED OR SAW ON THE NEWS OR SAW THE OTHER THING. THERE WAS MULTIPLE DANCE TROUPES, MULTIPLE -- I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY FOUND CULTURES IN THE CITY, BUT THEY DID. IT WAS AN AMAZING EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 13TH.

THE THING THAT WE HAVE COMING UP, WE ARE IN THE -- WE'RE GOING TO BE IN THE HOLIDAY PARADE PROMOTING ALL THE EVENTS AND THENVING FORWARD, WHAT WE ARE G FORWARD TO IS MAKING THE MULTIC FESTIVAL THE PREMIER EVENT FOR THE COMMISSION BECAUSE THAT BRINGS -- OBVIOUSLY, WHAT WE TO IS BRING ALL THE CULTURES IN THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. THIS NEW BIKE PATH WILL BE AN AS FAULT PATH 11-FOOT WIDE AND 4,850 LONG. THIS FUNDING IS MVRPC'S TA FUNDING, TRANSPORTATIONAL ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM.
