I HAVE SOME THINGS THAT YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY SEEN THAT MAY LOOKED MORE FINISHED. THIS MAY LOOK COMPLETE AND THOUGHT OUT BUT IT IS A ROADMAP AND A WORKING DOCUMENT .
THE GOOD THING ABOUT THAT IS THAT IT WORKS WITH YOU AND GROWS WITH YOU. WHERE ARE THE MAJOR AREAS WE WILL BE WORKING IN AND WHERE ARE SOME AREAS WE WANT TO GO ? WE STARTED LOOKING AT THE EXISTING ASSETS IN THE PARK RIGHT NOW. WHAT IS WORKING WELL RIGHT NOW OR WOULD BE CHALLENGING , EXPENSIVE AND HARD TO MOVE AND WHERE ARE WE GETTING THE BENEFIT OF THIS WORK. SO, THESE ARE YOUR EXISTING ASSETS . WE HIGHLIGHTED WHAT WE WANTED TO REMAIN IN PLACE SUCH AS THE NATURAL AREAS AND THE PARKING LOT WORKS WELL IN THE CENTER OF THE PARK TO ACCESS AMENITIES . THE MEMORIAL GOT A TON OF POSITIVE FEEDBACK AS WELL AS PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING WHICH ARE GOOD WHERE THEY ARE AT . THEN THE COURT SAYS WELL .

THAT WAS PART OF THE PROJECT AND ALSO IMPROVING THE INTERSECTION AND ENTRY INTO THE PARK. WE THOUGHT IF WE COULD INCORPORATE SOME OF THESE ELEMENTS WITH THE SPLASH PAD AND THE AMPHITHEATER AND ALSO ADDRESS THE INJURY CONCERNS THAT IT WOULD HIT A LOT OF THOSE PRIORITIES . SO, THAT IS KIND OF HOW WE LANDED ON THE SOUTHEASTERN AREA OF OR THE MAJORITY OF THE WORK. AND, I WILL MOVE THROUGH THIS QUICKLY SINCE WE HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME. IT'S STILL IN THE SAME AREA BUT WE MADE IT LARGER SO THAT WAY YOU CAN FIT IN GREEN SPACE WITH THE ROWS OF PARKING.IT WILL KEEP IT A LITTLE BIT SHADY AND COOLER AND WE WILL CREATE RETENTION TO HELP WITH THE WATER RUNOFF IN THOSE SPACES . BECAUSE OF ADDED PARKING, WE ARE ADDING 115 SPACES AND IT WILL EXTEND FURTHER SOUTH THAN THE EXISTING FOOT PRINT. THAT POND LOOKING AREA, WE DO NEED TO ADD DETENTION TO THE PARK. WE ARE NOT SURE IF IT WILL BE A WET OR A DRY BASIN AND THAT WILL BE FIGURED OUT DURING SCHEMATIC DESIGN IN THE NEXT PHASE . THEN WE CONTINUE ALONG TO A SEMICIRCULAR SPACE THAT LEADS TO THE CENTRAL GREEN SPACE . IT IS MEANT TO BE AN ENTRY PLAZA TO THE PARK AND CAN BE USED FOR CASUAL USE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
THERE IS ALSO SPACE FOR FOOD TRUCKS AND IT WILL PROVIDE WATER AND POWER SO YOU CAN HAVE A FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL OR THE FARMERS MARKET. THAT LEADS TO A CENTRAL GREEN SPACE AND WITHIN THAT , YOU WILL SEE TOWARDS THE NORTHEASTERN WHERE THE PLAYGROUND AND THE SPLASH PAD IN A SMALL COMMUNITY BUILDING WILL BE. OFF TO THE RIGHT WHERE YOU SEE THE EXISTING PUBLIC WORKS SPACE , THAT IS RIGHT NOW PARKING FOR PUBLIC WORKS . WE WILL ADD SPACES THERE AND IT WILL ALSO BE A NEW ENTRY POINT INTO THE PARK . THAT IS SOMETHING WE HEARD FROM THE COMMUNITY AND FROM SARAH AND THE STEERING COMMITTEE THAT HAVING THE ADDITIONAL ENTRY NOT ONLY HELPS WITH CONGESTION BUT ALSO HELPS WITH SAFETY AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES TOO.

FAMILY RESTROOMS AND SOME KIND OF UTILITY AND MECHANICAL SPACE AS WELL. THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE SEEING IN THIS KIND OF DIAGRAM. AND THEN WITH THE SPLASH IN THE PARKING AND THE GREAT LAWN. THESE ARE -- YOU WILL SEE SOME KIND OF PRECEDENT IMAGERY . WE LOOK AT WHAT ARE SOME THINGS THAT THINGS THAT RESONATED WITH FOLKS . MAKING THINGS MORE LIGHT AND AIRY WITH THE STRUCTURES .
