THE 2026 PRELIMINARY TAX BUDGET LEGISLATION IS A FORMALITY AND IS ONLY REQUIRED BY MIAMI COUNTY BUDGET COMMISSION. IT'S THE BEGINNING OF OUR 2026 BUDGET PROCESS. NOTICE OF THE HEARING WAS ADVERTISED IN 7/4/25 IN DAYTON COURTREPORTER ANNOUNCEMENT WAS LISTED ON 7/7/25.
THE TAX BUDGET WILL PRODUCE A CERTIFICATE OF ESTIMATED RESOURCES FROM THE COUNTY OUGHT TORE. THIS IS AN ESTIMATE OF REVENUES AND IT'S AMEND THE MANY TIMES DURING THE YEAR.
TAX BUDGET DOES ALLOW THE CITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LOCAL FUND DID I TRY BUGS FROM THE STATE OF OHIO.
IF WE DO NOT ACT IN A TIMELY MANNER, THE CITY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RECEIVE LOCAL GOVERNMENT REVENUES IN 2026 WHICH ESTIMATED TO BE 626 MILLION IN 2025. IT INCLUDES A LIST OF ALL CURRENT PROPERTY TAX LEVIES, THE COUNTY AUDITOR WILL PROVIDE A LIST OF THOSE TO BE GENERATED IN THE NEXT THREE MONTHS.
