ALL RIGHT,

[00:00:01]

CHERYL, LET'S GO AHEAD AND GET STARTED.

[ AGENDA ARTS AND BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION City Hall - Council Chambers 6131 Taylorsville Road January 13, 2021 6:30 P.M. ]

I'VE GOT TO CALL THIS MEETING TO CITY HEIGHTS, CITY OF HUBER HEIGHTS ARTS, A BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION TO ORDER, UM, IN JERRY.

COULD YOU PLEASE? ALL RIGHT, MS. CHALMERS, MS. DAVIDSON, MR. FOX, MS. QUINNIE PRESENT MS. T MS. UPSHAW PRESENT MR. WILSON, MS. BRANDENBURG HERE.

OKAY.

UM, I DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY OPENING REMARKS.

UH, IT DOES LOOK LIKE, DO YOU HAVE A QUORUM? AM I CORRECT? JERRY? OKAY.

WELL, THAT'S GOOD.

SO IF WE HAVE ANYTHING TO VOTE ON TONIGHT, WE ARE, WE ARE COVERED.

UM, LET'S SEE.

I DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY, ANY COMMENTS OTHER THAN WE, YOU KNOW, TRY TO GET THROUGH THIS AS FAST AS WE CAN FOR CINDY SAKE.

CAUSE SHE'S STRUGGLING, BUT WE'LL GET THERE.

SO I THERE'S NO CITIZEN COMMENTS BECAUSE NOBODY'S, NONE OF OUR CITIZENS HAVE JOINED THE MEETING.

SO I GUESS WE'LL MOVE ON TO OLD BUSINESS AND UM, LET'S SEE, THE FLOWER LOOKS LIKE EVERYTHING HAS BEEN UBERED IN THE INHALED FOR THE DELIVER.

YOU'LL BE IN THE SPRING AND THE TOP SOIL AND PLANTS.

OKAY.

SO NOW WE'LL HAVE TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THAT.

IS THAT CORRECT? JERRY WE'LL HAVE TO GET A COMMITTEE GOING HERE TO YES.

UM, BELONG TO AMD, UM, SITTING AROUND FOR QUITE A WHILE.

SO THEY USED IT, SO THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE.

SO WE WOULD HAVE TO GET NEW TOPSOIL AND WE DO HAVE SOME, UM, THE PARKS AND REC BOARD.

HE ACTUALLY DID SOME TEACHING OF THAT AND I THOUGHT WE'D REACH OUT TO HIM.

WHAT KIND OF PLANTS WILL DO WELL IN THAT SOIL, WE HAVE A SET OF, YOU'RE GOING TO BE IN THE DIRECT SUNLIGHT ALL DAY AND THERE'S GOING TO BE KIND OF SHADE AND SUN.

SO WE KIND OF WILL DO WELL IN THOSE SPOTS.

SO BE THINKING ABOUT IT NEXT MONTH MEETING, YOU WOULD LIKE TO GET A PLACE BECAUSE THOSE WILL BE COMING PROBABLY IN MARCH.

OKAY.

OKAY.

MARK THE HERE, BEFORE WE KNOW.

ALL RIGHT.

UM, AND THERE'S ONE OR TWO AT CITY HALL AND TWO AT THE POLICE STATION.

IS THAT CORRECT? OKAY.

SO WE'LL JUST HAVE TO MAKE SURE WE'VE GOT SUFFICIENT COVERAGE FOR THOSE FOUR, FOUR ITEMS, SO, OKAY.

UM, MOVING ON TO NEW BUSINESS AND NOW THE THEORY THAT THERE HAVE, THERE HAS BEEN A DATE PICKED IN A VENUE AND THERE'S SOME COMMUNICATION OUT THERE, BUT THAT'S AS FAR AS RIGHT.

OKAY.

SO I'M GOING TO BRING UP THE LAST FEBRUARY, UM, AT OUR, OUR LAST MEETING.

SO, UM, WE ARE LOOKING AT FEBRUARY 27TH AND 28TH.

THAT'S A SATURDAY AND A SUNDAY, IF YOU ABSOLUTELY DON'T, CAN'T DO THAT WEEKEND.

WE WERE LOOKING AT MOVING IT OUT TO THE FIRST WEEK AND IN MARCH, BUT WE WOULDN'T WANT TO GO ANY LATER THAN THAT.

SO YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE THAT DECISION, HAVE A LOT OF THINGS TO GO FORWARD.

SO, UM, OKAY.

SO HAS THE COMMITTEE, UM, GOT AS FAR AS WHERE YOU'RE AT AND WHAT YOUR FEELING WAS ON THE ART SHOW AND WHAT YOU WERE KIND OF LOOKING AT YES.

I THINK THAT THE EVENTS AND EVERYTHING WITHOUT US, UH, NANCY

[00:05:01]

HAD APPOINTED SOMEONE NAMED SARAH TO PLAN THAT EVENT.

AND NANCY FROM SIDE DID SAY NANCY APPOINTED SOMEONE.

YES, THAT'S THE DAY.

OKAY.

SO THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS CAN'T DO.

CITY CITY EMPLOYEES HAVE TO HANDLE ANY LEGAL DOCUMENTS.

THEY HANDLED THE MONEY FROM THAT THINGS HAVE BEEN PUT INTO MOTION.

YOU GUYS HAD SAID SOMETIME IN FEBRUARY.

SO WE'RE LOOKING AT THE LAST WEEK OF FEBRUARY, THESE THINGS ON THIS LIST, HERE ARE THINGS, ITEMS THAT HAVE TO BE DISCUSSED AND DECIDED ON NOT TO DECIDED ON THESE ARE TOPICS THAT WE HAVE TO MEET TO GET THIS MOVING TO HAVE IT HAPPEN LAST WEEK OF FEBRUARY.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S BEING SAID OUTSIDE.

IF YOU GUYS HAVE A QUESTION, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME.

UM, AGAIN, I CAN REALLY KNOW WHAT IS FROM, BUT YOU GUYS ARE GONNA HAVE TO RUN UP SOME OF THIS STUFF SO THAT WE CAN MOVE FORWARD.

OKAY.

WELL, I'M READY.

WHAT WAS TOLD TO ME THIS MORNING, BECAUSE I'M READY TO GO.

GOOD GIRL.

I KNEW YOU WEREN'T.

UM, SO THE COMMUNITY CENTER, CORRECT.

BELONG TO THE CITY AND THAT'S THE PROPERTY THAT HAS THE SPACE.

SO THAT'S YES.

THAT'S WHERE HE WAS GOING TO BE AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER.

OKAY.

UM, BUT OTHERWISE IT'S STILL KIND OF ON THE DATES AND THE END OF FEBRUARY, VERY BEGINNING OF MARCH.

RIGHT.

AND THEN THE REGISTRATION AND ALL OF THAT NEEDS TO GET PUT IN PLACE.

OKAY.

SO TO HAVE WE HAD FIRST DISCUSSED HOW IT WOULD BE MADE BY POINT FOR PEOPLE TO COME TO KEEP THE NUMBER DOWN, GOING BY RESTRICTIONS REGULATIONS AND THE COVID RESTRICTIONS AND REGULATIONS WILL SET THE NUMBER OF ARTISTS WHO WILL SET UP, WHO CAN BE HOW MANY, SIX FEET APART I SEE ONCE THAT MEANS THAT THAT'S THE NUMBER IT'S BASED ON THE ARTISTS PEOPLE CAN WALK THROUGH.

THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE SO MANY NUMBERS.

WALMART FOR IT'S GOING TO SAY, YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 30 IN THERE AT A TIME.

THAT NUMBER IS BASED ON AGAIN, HOW MANY ARTISTS ARE SET UP.

SO WE WOULD HAVE ASKED TO BE REQUIRED.

THERE WOULD BE MARKING SCORE TO KEEP THEM SIX FEET APART.

THERE'LL BE SIGNS REMINDING THEM TO STAY SIX FEET APART, THERE'D BE HAND SANITATION, AND THAT WOULD HAVE THIS.

SO WE DON'T HAVE TO LIMIT IT TO APPOINTMENTS OR TOO MANY PEOPLE ACTUALLY COME TO THE ART.

SO WE'RE, WE'RE MORE, WE'D HAVE TO COME UP WITH THE NUMBER OF ARTISTS THAT WE CAN HAVE.

AND THEN YES.

SO THAT NUMBER IS DETERMINED BY BUILDING INSPECTORS.

AND AS SOON AS I'M GIVEN THAT NUMBER, WHICH I HAVE NOT BEEN YET, WE'LL KNOW HOW MANY WE CAN ALLOW IN.

OKAY.

SO ONTO THE REGISTER, SKIP TO THE REGISTRATION THAT IS BEING, UH, FORMED BY EMPLOYEES HERE AT CITY HALL, BECAUSE IT IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT, TURN THOSE INTO US.

AND THEN WE WILL HAVE TO START SORTING THROUGH THEM BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO BE, UM, HUBER HEIGHTS RESIDENTS.

THEY HAVE TO MEET YOUR CRITERIA FOR WHAT KIND OF ART YOU WANT TO BE DISPLAYED.

SO THERE'S SOME KIND OF THINGS THERE THAT WILL HELP DETERMINE WHERE THAT CUTOFF NUMBER IS.

UM, AS TO HOW MANY ARTISTS ARE AVAILABLE.

WE ARE TRYING TO PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SCHOOLS TO GET,

[00:10:01]

UH, SIX THROUGH 12 TO PARTICIPATE.

SO WE WOULD ALSO HAVE SCHOOL MEMBERS ALONG WITH ADULT ARTISTS.

OKAY.

OKAY, GREAT.

SO YOU WANT TO BRING UP YOUR THOUGHT FROM THE OPTIMISTS? OH YEAH, SURE.

UM, WE'LL BE ON THE SUBJECT OF THE, UH, CHILDREN'S GALLERY OR PARTICIPATION, UH, SORT OF AS, AND THEN SEND THEM TO GET THEM TO WANT TO PARTICIPATE.

I DO HAVE SPONSORSHIP FROM THE, YOU WERE, I TALKED TO HIM, HIS CLUB, THEY WILL PAY UP TO $150 TO, UM, OR, UM, YOU KNOW, SOME SORT OF A PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATE OR RIBBON OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT TO GET KIDS TO WANT TO BE INVOLVED.

OKAY.

SO YOU NEED TO KIND OF MEET WITH, WITH GWENDOLYN AND SHANNON AND, AND SHARE THAT INFORMATION WITH THEM, WITH THE COMMITTEE.

RIGHT.

IS THAT, WOULD THAT BE THE BEST WAY TO HANDLE THAT IF THERE'S GOING TO BE, I MEAN, BECAUSE YOU'RE GOING TO THE COMMITTEE IS GOING TO DETERMINE WHAT PRIZES AND WHAT, WHAT THE CATEGORIES AND THINGS ARE RIGHT FOR THE ART SHOW.

CERTAINLY.

SO, BUT IF IT'S AN ART, IF THIS IS AN ART SHOW, DO WE REALLY NEED TO HAVE PRIZES? UH, AND THIS IS GOING TO BE MORE OF A GALLERY TYPE OF STYLE.

IT'S AN ART EXHIBIT.

YOU HAVE TO BE SURE THAT WAY.

AND OUR SHOW SOUNDS LIKE THERE'S A PRIZE.

OKAY.

WELL, OKAY.

THEN I MISUNDERSTOOD WHAT GREG WAS TALKING ABOUT.

DO YOU GUYS PARTICIPATE IN NEW JOE? THEY GET SOME SORT OF A RECOGNITION RIBBON, A RIBBON WOULD SAY, HUBER HEIGHTS, ART EXHIBITION, 20, 21, EVERY STRING COULD FIT, PUT A PIECE OF ART INTO THE SHOW WOULD GET THAT RIBBON OR A CERTIFICATE OR WHAT, WHATEVER THE COMMITTEE WOULD DECIDE.

RIGHT.

NOT SO MUCH THAT YOU THINK ADULT ARTISTS WOULD BE CONCERNED WITH THIS.

IT'S MORE FOR THE CHILDREN'S, BUT THE STUDENTS, IT'S ALWAYS A NICE THING FOR THEM TO HAVE.

YES, I, OKAY.

WELL, OKAY.

SO THESE, BASICALLY THESE ITEMS THAT ARE LISTED ON THE AGENDA WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE PERMITS AND THAT SORT OF THING, AND WE'VE GOT TO FIND OUT EVERYTHING ELSE FOR THE COMMITTEE TO DETERMINE HOW THAT, BECAUSE WE CAN'T DO THE REGISTRATION FORM AND I CAN'T DO THE ADVERTISEMENT WITHOUT A DATE.

HAS THE COMMITTEE TO DATE YET? OR HAS YOUR COMMITTEE PUT TOGETHER ANY DATES YET? SO IT WAS MY END.

THE COMMITTEE WAS GOING TO WORK ON WHAT TYPES OF ART AND REACHING OUT TO ARTISTS, SO TO VOTE ON THE DATE.

OKAY.

SO DOES ANYBODY HAVE A FEELING ON THE DATE IS THE LAST WEEKEND IN FEBRUARY.

OKAY.

I WAS GOING TO GET TO GREAT, GREAT, GREAT.

OKAY.

HOW DOES THAT SOUND TO PARDON? SO ONCE WE'VE DETERMINED THAT I HAVE ANOTHER PROPOSAL, I'D LIKE TO BRING UP, BUILD UPON THAT.

OKAY.

SO VOTE ON THE DATE.

DOES ANYONE WANT TO MAKE A MOTION TO ACCEPT THE LAST WEEK? ANYONE WANT TO SECOND THAT, OKAY, SO ALL IN FAVOR? NO, GO AHEAD.

YEAH, THERE YOU GO.

OKAY.

AND AGAIN, THIS, THIS IS A TWO DAY AFFAIR, RIGHT? SATURDAY, THE 20TH, 27TH AND THE 28TH.

ALL RIGHT.

MS. DAVIDSON, MR. FOX, MS. QUINNIE.

YES.

[00:15:01]

YES.

MS. T SHANNA.

SHANNON, YOUR MIC.

SORRY.

YES.

OKAY.

MR. WILSON? YES.

MS. BRANDENBURG.

YES.

SO, BECAUSE THOSE CHOSEN ARE VOTED ON WE'LL WILL GET THE REGISTRATION FORM OUT.

WE'LL GET THE ADVERTISEMENT OUT.

THAT REGISTRATION FORM WILL PROBABLY BE AVAILABLE FRIDAY.

WE'RE ASKING YOU PARENTS BY FEBRUARY 12TH, THAT'S JUST A LITTLE SHY OF 30 DAYS THEN THAT WILL GIVE US TIME TO GO THROUGH, UM, TO MAKE SURE AND GET THE NUMBER OF ARTISTS, RIGHT? YEAH.

SOMETHING ELSE BUILDING, SINCE WE'VE GOT THE DATE FEBRUARY DATE, I WOULD LIKE FOR THIS EXHIBIT AS PROPOSED EXHIBITS, DO YOU HAVE A MARKETABLE EASILY? REMEMBER THE NAME I WOULD LIKE TO VOTE? WE CALL THIS, I LOVE HEIGHTS.

EXCUSE ME.

HUBER HEIGHTS.

ALRIGHTY.

OKAY.

CAN YOU REPEAT THAT ONE MORE TIME? I WOULD LIKE TO, THIS IS IN FEBRUARY WITH THAT.

I WOULD LIKE TO PROPOSE THAT WE GIVE IT A NAME.

WE CALL IT, I LOVE OUR PROVIDING.

OH, OKAY.

I LOVE ART .

SO I HAVE A NOTE THAT I NEED TO DISCUSS WITH YOU T-MOBILE FORWARD AND WANTS TO BE OUR CORPORATE SPONSOR PRESENTER.

FOR THIS EVENT.

THEY'RE LOOKING FOR A NEW SHINY EVENT TO, UM, PARTAKE IN.

THEY'VE NEVER BEEN A PARTNER WITH US BEFORE THEY'VE COME ON BOARD.

UM, IT IS NOT FUN.

THEY WANT TO OFFER 5,000.

THAT WOULD BE KIND OF THE TWO SCHOLARSHIPS FOR AN ART STUDENTS.

ONE THAT GOES TO WAYNE HIGH SCHOOL AND ONE THAT GOES TO BETHEL LIFE SCHOOL, BECAUSE BOTH OF THOSE HIGH SCHOOLS HAVE HUBER HEIGHTS RESIDENTS ATTENDING THEM.

OKAY.

TO DO THAT.

THEY ARE WANTING IT TO BE PRESENTED AS THE KUBRICK HEIGHTS, COMMUNITY ART EXHIBITION.

SO WHEN I TALK ABOUT LEGAL ASPECTS OF THIS, THERE'S A LOT THAT FALLS INTO PLACE.

LIKE I SAID, IT CAN'T BE CALLED A SHOW BECAUSE THERE AREN'T PRIZES.

THEY WANT IT TO BE EXHIBITION.

SO THAT KIND OF TAKES THERE WITH THOSE SCHOLARSHIPS BEING GIVEN TO US BY TEAMMATES.

I LIKE TO ADD A POSSIBLE ADD ON A LITTLE BIT IF, UM, THERE ARE SEVERAL HUBER HEIGHTS STUDENTS THAT ALSO GO TO CARROLL.

AND SO IF THEY'RE A HUBER HEIGHTS RESIDENT AND THEY ATTEND CARROLL, COULD THEY BE INCLUDED IN LIKE THE BETHEL OF BETHEL CAROL TYPE THING OR? WELL WE'RE BETHEL AND, UM, WAYNE, BECAUSE THEY ARE IN THE HUBRIS DISTRICT.

RIGHT.

BUT THERE'S SO THE STUDENTS ARE SAYING THEY'RE HUBER HEIGHTS RESIDENTS THAT GO TO CAROL, AS LONG AS I'M BRINGING IT UP, BECAUSE THERE'S A NUMBER OF MY 25 OR 30 OF THEM.

THEY GO THERE.

SURE.

RIGHT.

IT IS DISTRICT LESS IS A PRIVATE SCHOOL.

CORRECT? I WOULD THINK THAT IF THEY ARE IN THE WAYNE DISTRICT ATTENDING CARROLL, THEY WOULD QUALIFY FOR OKAY.

PARTNERING WITH BETHEL.

AND WE DON'T HAVE A PARTNERSHIP WITH CAROL.

I UNDERSTAND.

BUT, UH, THEY ARE, UH, WAYNE.

HE IS THEIR HOME DISTRICT THOUGH.

SO THERE'S SOMETHING THERE.

I'LL TALK TO YOU LATER ON THAT ONE.

OKAY.

LET'S TAKE THAT OFFLINE.

THANK YOU, GAVIN.

OKAY.

THAT'S REALLY NICE TOO.

THEN WE WOULD NEED TO GO WITH THEIR, THEIR TITLE, WHICH WOULD BE THE ART EXHIBITION.

THEY ALSO HAVE A COMMITTEE.

I'M SORRY.

SO WE HAVE TO RUN THESE SCHOLARSHIPS THROUGH THE DATE AND FOUNDATION.

THEY ACTUALLY SET UP THE FA THEY DO THE ADMINISTRATION.

[00:20:01]

OKAY.

SO THEY HAVE ASKED THAT ANYONE FROM THIS COMMITTEE WANTS TO BE PART OF THEIR COMMITTEE.

THEY WOULD MORE THAN WELCOME YOU.

OH.

BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO SET THE CRITERIA FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP.

THEY'RE GOING TO, UM, OVERLOOK THE APPLICATIONS AND DO, UM, THE CHOOSING OF WHO GETS THAT SCHOLARSHIP.

I SEE IT.

ISN'T A COMPONENT OF, IT'S A COMPONENT OF THE ART SHOW, BUT IT IS NOT THE SCHOLARSHIP.

IT'S NOT BASED ON AN ART EXHIBIT IN OUR EXHIBITION.

ONE MORE TIME.

YEAH.

IT'S JUST LIKE A COMPONENT OF THE, BUT THE ART STUDENT WHO WINS THE SCHOLARSHIP, THAT'S NOT ON A PIECE OF ART THAT HAS BEEN ENTERED INTO OUR GRADE POINT.

AVERAGE MERIT LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION, THE ART TEACHER.

IT'S NOT BASED ON HOW THEY PUT THIS GREAT PIECE IN OUR EXHIBITION.

WE'RE GIVING THEM THE SCHOLARSHIP.

THERE'S A WHOLE LOT OF CREDIT THAT HAS TO BE MET FOR THAT SCHOLARSHIP.

YOU KNOW, WE'RE ONLY ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF OUT.

IT'S A LITTLE LATE TO BE DROPPING ALL THIS ON US AND TURNING THE KIDS TO DO ALL THE WORK.

NOW MY POO-POOING IT.

I'M JUST RECOGNIZING THIS IS LATE IN THE DAY OVER.

CAN YOU HEAR ME? YEP.

OKAY.

HOW WAS THE DATE AND FOUNDATION? UM, SCHOLARSHIPS.

ANYWAY, I SEE THE VANDALIA SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE STUDENTS.

SO I DO KNOW HOW IT WORKS AND I WOULD BE HAPPY TO HELP THEM.

OKAY.

NOW THERE'S A COUPLE OF CONDITIONALS THAT I'M A LITTLE BIT LEERY ON IS, UM, WE DON'T HAVE A LOT OF INSIGHT INTO THIS.

WE NEED MORE BEFORE WE VOTE ON IT, BUT WE NEED TO VOTE ON IT NOW BECAUSE OF TIMING.

UM, THIS ISN'T AN OPTIMUM, UH, WAY TO DO IT, BUT OVER, OKAY.

WE'RE NOT VOTING ON SCHOLARSHIPS BECAUSE T-MOBILE HAS COME FORWARD AND IS GIVING THEM.

I UNDERSTAND THAT, BUT I'M SAYING ALL, EVERYTHING THAT GOES AROUND IT, WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS? WHAT ARE THEY, I MEAN, DO THEY MEET WHAT WE EXPECT TO SEE? THAT'S WHAT, THAT'S THE POINT? THE DATE AND FOUNDATION HAS A COMMITTEE THAT WILL SET THAT CRITERIA.

AND THEY'RE ASKING PEOPLE FROM YOU THIS BOARD, IF YOU WANT TO BE ON THAT COMMITTEE.

NOW THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THAT SCHOLARSHIP IS AWARDED FEBRUARY 27TH.

THEY HAVE A TIMELINE WHERE IT'S AWARDED AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR.

WE'RE JUST, AND NANCY, I'M SORRY.

OKAY.

WE'RE ANNOUNCING IT AT IT.

W WHAT GOT IT.

I'M WITH IT.

YEAH, EXACTLY.

WE'RE ANNOUNCING IT AT OUR ART EXHIBITION.

IT'S BEING PUT INTO PLACE AT THAT POINT.

THE CRITERIA SETS, THEY WORK WITH THE SCHOOL ART TEACHERS, ALL OF THAT HAPPENS, AND YES, IT IS HAPPENING VERY QUICKLY.

OKAY.

SO WHAT WILL WE ALSO BE GIVEN A GUIDELINE IN ORDER FOR THE STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO APPLY FOR THIS T-MOBILE SCHOLARSHIP? I MISSED THE VERY FIRST PART OF YOUR QUESTION QUESTION AS, AS REGISTRATION FOR THE, OUR EXHIBIT OF THE STUDENTS, BE GIVEN SOME TYPE OF GUIDELINES OR HOW TO GO ABOUT REGISTERING OR HOW TO GO ABOUT APPLYING, BUT IT'S THE MOBILE SCHOLARSHIPS.

AGAIN, YOU SAY THAT, BE DOING IT AT THE END OF THE YEAR.

THE TIMELINE IS NOT OUR ART EXHIBIT.

I DON'T HAVE THAT TIME TO LOOK FORWARD.

OKAY.

SO THEY'RE SPONSORING HOW MUCH OF THE FIVE GRAND GOES TO SCHOLARSHIPS.

I'M NOT, I'M NOT DIGGING ON IT.

I'M JUST TRYING TO FIND KNOWLEDGE AND HOW MUCH HELPS TO RUN THE ART SHOW OVER THE $5,000 SPLIT 200, 2,500 TO EACH STUDENT.

OKAY.

SO THEY'RE GOING TO GIVE OUT TOO, AND THEY'RE NOT, THEY'RE NOT GETTING HIS FUNDING FOR THE ART EXHIBIT ITSELF.

I THINK, I THINK THAT WHAT THEY'RE TRYING TO DO IS TO SET UP AN ART SCHOLARSHIP WITH THE DATE AND FOUNDATION, THEY STILL NEED TO AFFORD TO COME UP WITH THE CRITERIA.

AND TYPICALLY WHAT HAPPENS IS WHEN A STUDENT IS GOING TO PURSUE A CAREER IN ART LATER, LIKE AT COLLEGE SOMEWHERE, THEN THOSE STUDENTS WOULD BE, AND WE WOULD GATHER THE NAMES OF THE ONES THAT ACTUALLY ENTERED, OBVIOUSLY THIS ART EXHIBIT,

[00:25:01]

WE WOULD HONOR THEM AND SAY, HEY, WHEN THIS IS ALL SET UP AT THE END OF THE YEAR, LET THEM KNOW THAT WE HAVE THIS OPPORTUNITY.

THEY CAN GO ONLINE, DO THEIR ESSAY, DO THEIR GRADE POINT AVERAGE, DO ALL THE INFORMATION THAT THEY NEED AND THEY'LL SUBMIT THEIR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP.

AND THEN TO, BUT THEIR DEADLINE, THEIR APPLICATION DEADLINE IS LIKE, APRIL-ISH, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? SO, YOU KNOW, THEY NEED TO, BUT LIKE I SAID, WE'RE WORKING WITH THE ART TEACHER.

SO THEY'RE WELL AWARE OF THAT.

SO BASICALLY WE JUST NEED TO KNOW IF YOU WANT INPUT INTO THE CRITERIA, WE NEED TO GET SOMEBODY TO MEET WITH THEM.

IF WE DON'T CARE HOW THEY TREAT IT, THEN BASICALLY THEY'LL JUST, THEY'LL DETERMINE THE CRITERIA FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP WITHOUT OUR INPUT.

THAT'S CORRECT.

BUT THAT'S A, THAT'S KIND OF SEPARATE FROM OUR EXHIBIT ITSELF.

THAT'S CORRECT.

OKAY.

SO, AND I BELIEVE WE NEED TO HAVE SOME INPUT JUST TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING IS, WE DON'T WANT THEIR, OUR NAME ON SOMETHING.

I MEAN, YOU THINK IT'S GOING TO BE UPS, THERE'LL BE DONE, RIGHT.

IF THE DAYTON FOUNDATION IS DOING IT, YOU'D THINK IT'D BE DONE.

RIGHT.

IF IT'S A DEMO, WE'LL SPONSORING IT.

SO IT JUST, WE NEED INSIGHT ON THAT AS WE DO IT.

GOTCHA.

IDEALLY, WE'D BE SOMEBODY THAT'S ON THE ART COMMITTEE.

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU GUYS WANT TO MEET AND DECIDE WHO'S GOING TO BE THAT PERSON THAT THERE COULD BE.

CINDY HAS, UM, THAT'S OFFERED, OFFERED.

I WOULDN'T MIND OFFERING GROW ALONG WITH.

OKAY.

OKAY.

AWESOME.

SO I HAVE YOUR GUYS' NAMES AND WE WILL REACH OUT TO YOU AND LET YOU KNOW WHAT THE NEXT STEP IS GREAT.

AS YOU STATED APRIL.

GOTCHA.

OKAY.

THEN I HAVE A QUESTION GET TOGETHER.

UM, WELL, NOT PRICE, PUTTING CERTAIN THINGS TOGETHER FOR THE STUDENTS WHEN THE IDEAL THING BE LIKE A ART STARTER.

OH, I DON'T, I DON'T MEAN YOU ARE THEMSELVES.

I THINK WE'RE KIND OF BEYOND THE STARTER CAMP THING WHERE, I MEAN, THE PEOPLE THAT ARE GOING TO BE INVOLVED IN OUR EXHIBIT ALREADY ESTABLISHED ARTISTS, I'M BIPOLAR, JUST LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD FOR THOSE THAT AREN'T AS FLUENT AND CAN HANDLE STUFF, BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THAT.

WELL, THAT'S KIND OF AN ART COMMITTEE CALL, I WOULD SAY.

BUT AGAIN, IT'S NOT PRIZED AS BEING OKAY.

SO I HAVE TO KEEP THAT IN MIND, EVERYTHING WE'VE ALWAYS DONE IS PRIZED GEARED.

AND THIS IS NOT THIS NOT JUDGING PRIZES.

IT'S JUST A PARTICIPATION COMMITTEE, JERRY.

I'M SORRY.

WHO ALL IS ON MEDIC OR IS THERE ANY THAT WANT TO VOLUNTEER TO BE ON IT NOW? I THOUGHT IT WAS.

AND THEN SHANNON, AM I CORRECT? IT WAS, UH, GWENDOLYN SHANDA, AND IT WAS ME, BUT IT WAS ASKING IF IT WAS SOMEBODY ELSE, YOU KNOW, CAUSE NOW GAVIN'S IS ASKING SO WE CAN MOVE FORWARD AND START PLAYING IT REAL QUICK.

I'M SURE I'LL BE ON THE COMMITTEE.

OKAY.

SO, BUT YOU GUYS JUST, THE COMMITTEE NEEDS TO MEET OUTSIDE OF THIS, OUTSIDE OF OUR REGULAR MEETINGS.

SO, SO THAT, YOU KNOW, I DON'T KNOW, YOU KNOW, IF YOU WANT TO DO VIRTUAL MEETINGS OR WHATEVER, YOU WANT TO MEET SOMEPLACE IN A TALKING SHOP, BUT I GUESS YOU NEED TO PUT TOGETHER A MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE TO KIND OF ADDRESS SOME OF THESE THINGS.

I THINK I GOT CONFUSED.

CAUSE I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND.

LIKE I SEE WE MAYBE COULD HAVE FOOD.

IS THAT STILL POSSIBLE, JERRY? AND THEN WE HAVE TO TELL THEM WHAT TO UNDERSTAND.

SO, SO BACK TO THIS COMMITTEE, WHEN IT'S SIX MONTHS OUT TO HAVE A COMMUNITY, BUT WHEN WE ARE DOING SOMETHING THIS FAST,

[00:30:01]

IT'S HARD TO SAY, WELL, WE'RE GOING TO LET THE COMMITTEE GO MEET YOU, BRING US BACK.

YOUR IDEAS WE'LL VOTE.

I MEAN, WE'RE MOVING QUICK ON THIS BECAUSE IT IS AT THE END OF FEBRUARY, WE'RE TRYING TO GO WITH DR.

GATES BECAUSE THAT'S MY IN THE MONTHS WHERE THERE'S NOTHING HAPPENING, THE BLAS OF SETTING, WHETHER HASN'T YET.

SO THAT'S WHY WE VEERED INTO THIS FEBRUARY DATE.

THINK ABOUT IT IS BOTH.

IF YOU TRY TO DO IT IN THE MONTH OF MARCH, YOU'RE GONNA LOSE ALL YOUR BASKETBALL THING.

YEAH.

I THINK WHAT I'M ASKING REALLY IS LIKE, WHEN ARE WE TO GIVE THEM THE STUDENTS? IS THERE A THEME? IS THERE A KID LIKE AN ADULT, BUT YOU DO, YOU DO NEED TO DECIDE.

WE'RE NOT HAVING ARTS.

THAT'S A GIVEN.

I JUST KNOW THIS IS CORRECT.

RIGHT.

WE GOT TO DO PAINTING PHOTOGRAPHY, SCULPTURE, MIXED MEDIA, THOSE KINDS OF THINGS.

YOU GUYS HAD FOUR, THERE WERE ALL KINDS OF TYPES OF ART.

IF SOMEBODY MADE A QUILT, THEY FELT THAT WAS ART TO SAY, THAT'S A CRAFT.

SO YOU GUYS GOT TO KIND OF NARROW THIS IN SO THAT WE CAN GET THIS REGISTRATION FORMAT.

THAT'S WHAT I WAS TRYING TO ASK YOU IS WHAT, LIKE, DID YOU HAVE A THEME? LIKE YOU, WASN'T GOING TO BE LIKE, YOU WANT THEM TO CREATE NEW IDEAS? I THINK THAT IT SHOULD PROBABLY BE WHATEVER THEY'VE GOT ON HAND.

OKAY.

OKAY.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO.

YEAH.

YEAH.

AND THEN ARE YOU NEEDING TO KNOW THE LIST OF ARTISTS OR SOMETHING? SHE'S PUTTING THE CALL OUT AND, BUT WHO DOES SHE WANT TO RESPOND TO? THE CALL IS THE POINT.

NOW YOU GUYS TO KIND OF PUT SOME FEELERS OUT WHEN YOU'RE TRYING TO REACH OUT TO THE SCHOOLS, BECAUSE THAT'S KIND OF NOT ON FACEBOOK, PUTTING THIS OUT ON OUR WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK SAYING, UM, AND WE HAVE TO DO THIS BY FRIDAY.

HERE'S THE APPLICATION.

IF YOU WANT TO BE IN IT, FILL OUT THIS APPLICATION, GET IT BACK TO US.

THEY'VE GOT UNTIL FEBRUARY 12TH TO GET THAT BACK TO US, MAYBE A FEW DAYS LATER SO THAT WE CAN GET THAT LINED UP.

SO THAT GIVES THEM ALMOST 30 DAYS.

SO IN NO WAY, AM I SAYING, HEY, GO PAINT US A NEW PICTURE.

HEY, GO MAKE A NEW, UH, POTTER.

UM, ARTISTS WOULD ALREADY HAVE PIECES.

THEY'VE SHARED THEM WITH US ON FACEBOOK.

HEY, I'D LIKE TO SHOW YOU GUYS THIS.

I'D LIKE TO SHOW YOU THAT.

SO THERE'S PIECES ARE ALREADY DONE.

WE'RE NOT HAVING IT'S WHATEVER THE ARTIST WANTS TO PUT INTO THE EXHIBITION.

HOPEFULLY IT'S CORRECT.

SO YEAH, BUT IT IS AN EXHIBITION.

AND IF AN ARTIST HAS SHOWN HIS PIECE BEFORE AND IT'S GOTTEN PEOPLE TO ENJOY IT, THEY WANT TO SHOW IT AGAIN.

SO IT DOESN'T MATTER.

YOU'RE RIGHT.

IT'S CORRECT.

NO PRIZE, NO JUDGING, NO PRIZES.

SO JERRY, WHEN WILL, YOU KNOW THE NUMBER OF ARTISTS THAT WE CAN ACCEPT APPLICATIONS? I SHOULD KNOW THAT IN THE NEXT DAY OR TWO, UM, THEY, LIKE I SAID, I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN ME THAT NUMBER, BUT AS BIG AS THE BUILDING IS, I'M THINKING THAT WE'LL PROBABLY BE ABLE TO AT LEAST TAKE 50.

OKAY.

SO IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THE NEXT STEP IS THE COMMITTEE GETS TOGETHER AND PUT YOUR HEADS TOGETHER AND KIND OF GET YOUR CONCEPT OF WHAT THIS EXHIBIT IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE AND WHAT KIND OF REFRESHMINTS OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO.

UM, FRESHMEN.

YEAH.

AS LONG AS IT'S A PRE-PACKAGED ITEM, THINK OF CHERYL'S COOKIES.

THINK OF THE NARROWS COOKIES.

IT'S SOMETHING THAT'S ALREADY PACKAGED.

IT'S NOT AN OPEN TRAY.

IT'S NOT ANYTHING THAT YOU'RE GOING TO SERVE UP.

IT'S A TRAY OF PRE PACKAGED, WHATEVER YOU WOULD LIKE CHERYL'S ON THAT OR I'M SORRY, WE'RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE BUTTS A LITTLE BIT LATER HERE ON THE AGENDA.

YOU GUYS HAVE A REALLY BIG BUDGET.

OKAY.

BUT YOU DON'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THE BUDGET BECAUSE

[00:35:02]

ITEMS ARE PUT IN PLACE.

IF YOU COULD GET CHERYL'S COOKIES TO DONATE THEM, THEN CHERYL'S COOKIES GETS ADVERTISED FROM US.

CHERYL'S COOKIES GETS, WE GET TO SAY THAT WE'RE PARTNERING WITH THEM.

OKAY.

IF IT HAS TO BE PURCHASED, IT GETS PURCHASED.

I WOULD THINK YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO SERVE DRINKS.

UM, DUE TO COVID WE COULD NOT SERVE DRINKS.

I'M SORRY.

I DON'T WANT TO CONFUSE FOOD WITH ARTWORK.

SO IT WOULD HAVE TO BE KIND OF LIKE, UM, A ALL THE WAY OUT.

THEY COULD HELP THEMSELVES TO WHATEVER PACKAGED ITEM YOU CAME UP WITH.

OKAY.

CORN OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT ON THEIR WAY OUT THERE.

OKAY.

THAT'S PRE-PACKAGED I PROPOSE THAT THE BOARD COMMITTEE WILL DISCUSS THIS THIS WEEK, GET BACK WITH YOU NEXT WEEK AND WE CAN HAVE ALL THOSE IDEAS.

YEAH, THAT'D BE GREAT.

AGAIN.

I WANT YOU TO REMEMBER THAT WE'RE TRYING TO MAKE THIS A MORE, UM, DRESSED UP FUNCTION.

THAT'S WHY WE'RE NOT AWARDING PRIZES.

WE'RE NOT HAVING DORMS PRIZES OR BASKETS.

UM, WE'D LIKE IT TO BE A LITTLE NICER, A LITTLE, UM, IT'S NOT JUST A GIFT BAG THAT WE THROW TOGETHER.

IT'S SOMETHING THAT COMES, YOU KNOW, LIKE I SAY, IN A, IN A NICER PRESENTATION.

SOUNDS GOOD.

SO GWENDOLYN, I'M GOING TO PUT THAT YOU GUYS TALK ABOUT THAT.

YOU GET BACK WITH ME ON THAT.

YES I WILL.

SO JERRY, DO YOU NEED, HAVE WE PICKED THE MEDIA? IS THAT WHAT YOU NEEDED BY FRIDAY? WHAT MEDIA I KIND OF WANT TO DO TO DO THAT TONIGHT? UM, IF WE CAN, CAN WE JUST SAY LIKE FINE ART? YEAH, YOU CAN, YOU GUYS, WE CAN SAY FINE ART ON THE REGISTRATION AND THEN YOU GUYS GET TO ME WITH A LITTLE MORE DETAIL.

IS THERE SOMETHING THAT YOU WOULD NOT CONSIDER FINE ART? IS THERE SOMETHING THAT, YOU KNOW, THAT KIND OF THING SO WE CAN DO IT THAT WAY.

OKAY.

GIVE IT THE TIMEFRAME THAT WE HAVE TO WORK IN.

I THINK IT RIGHT FAST IF WE JUST HAVE IT, THIS AS BROADLY AS POSSIBLE TO A WIDE VARIETY OF FORMS OF ART.

I MEAN OBVIOUSLY NO, NO PERFORMING ART, LIKE, UH, SOMEBODY WANTS TO SUBMIT, WELL, THEY WANT TO PUT IN PAINTINGS TOGRAPHY WOULD WORK, SO WE'LL CATEGORIZE IT AS FINE ARTS.

OKAY.

OKAY.

YEAH.

WHEN WE SAY FINE ART, IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF WE PUT A COUPLE OF, FOR INSTANCES ON THE BOTTOM, JUST TO ENSURE THAT, UM, OTHERS DON'T FEEL LEFT OUT, THE PHOTOGRAPHER MIGHT NOT FEEL THEY'RE IN BECAUSE YOU SAID FINE ART, EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE IN THAT.

YEAH.

I WOULD SAY PHOTOGRAPHY SCULPTURE.

YEAH.

IT'S JUST ENSURE THAT IN SUCH AS LIMITED TO GIVE ME A FEW MORE, I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHY, SCULPTURE, PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS, MIXED MEDIA.

YEAH.

MIXED MEDIA IS FINE.

UM, ACTUALLY I CAN MIX ME, DOES THAT INCLUDE COMPUTER GRAPHIC? THAT TYPE THING.

CAUSE THERE'S A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT DO THIS STUFF ON THE COMPUTERS, LIKE ANIMATED, THAT TYPE THAT I THINK SAY MIXED MEDIA.

I THINK OF MIXED MEDIA.

I THINK OF SOMETHING WHERE YOU HAVE A MULTITUDE OF DIFFERENT THINGS, BUT YEAH.

LET'S, LET'S GO WITH GAVIN'S IDEA.

THANKS GAVIN.

GOOD IDEA.

AND COMPUTER GENERATED ARTWORK.

I WOULDN'T, IF I WOULD KNOW IF I WAS LOOKING AT SOMETHING THAT HAD PHYSICALLY BEEN PAINTED BY SOMEONE OR DONE ON A COMPUTER THAT MAY JUST HAVE TO BE A JUDGMENT CALL UP TO THE ARTISTS BECAUSE, UM, UM, UM, UM, GLASS, I WOULD SAY THAT, YEAH, THAT'S JUST ONE PIECE.

CORRECT.

OKAY.

OKAY.

THAT'S WHAT I WANTED TO CLARIFY.

THESE ARE ONE SMALL SECTION.

THE ONLY REASON THEIR DRAWINGS WILL HAVE SEVERAL DRAWINGS THEY CAN GET IN THE SAME AREA.

IS IT A DECENT SITE? OH, HERE'S THE THING.

EACH ARTIST IS GOING TO GET A TABLE SO WHATEVER THEY CAN PUT ON A TABLE, GET ON A TABLE.

OKAY.

HERE WE GO.

YOU DO THAT.

SO IT'S NOT LIMITED TO ONE PIECE.

[00:40:02]

OKAY.

NO, YOU HAVE TO BRING THEIR OWN EASELS FOR THOSE THAT NEED EASELS.

YES.

CAUSE WE WILL.

AND WE WILL HAVE ON THE REGISTRATION FORM THAT WE ARE PROVIDING A TABLE SO THAT THEY KNOW WHAT WE'RE, THAT'S THE ONLY THING WE WILL BE PROVIDING.

AND I WOULD SUGGEST THE, THEY NEED AN EASEL.

THEY NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN SUPPLY THEIR OWN.

CORRECT.

AND WHEN WE TELL THEM THAT SOMEONE MAY FORGET THAT, ESPECIALLY THEIR KIDS, A LOT OF THEM HAVE THREE-YEAR YOUNGER.

RIGHT.

WELL HOPEFULLY THAT'S ON THE REGISTRATION FORM.

THEY WOULDN'T KNOW.

I THAT'S EXACTLY IT.

YEAH.

OKAY.

SOUNDS GOOD.

BRING YOUR PARDON.

PUTTING THAT DOWN HERE.

YEAH.

SO THE TABLES ARE FOUR.

UM, YEAH, I THINK THAT CAN HAVE LIKE A FOUR FOOT SECTION OF TABLE.

OKAY.

JERRY, THAT YOU COULD MAYBE SHARE WITH THE COMMITTEE.

I DO NOT HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS BEEN HANDLED BY LEGAL AND ALL OF THAT KIND OF STUFF.

KEEP IN MIND, THIS IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN OPENING A BOOTH AT THE MIRACLE FESTIVAL.

RIGHT.

SO THERE'S A LITTLE MORE, YOU KNOW, INVOLVED IN IT, IN THE WORDING AND ALL THAT KIND OF STUFF.

SO.

OKAY.

UM, YES, AS SOON AS I HAVE THAT AND THEN THE ARTWORK, I WILL SHARE THAT WITH ALL OF YOU SO THAT YOU CAN SEE THAT, OKAY.

WE CAN'T DO IT NOW, BUT I'D LIKE TO PUT ON THE DOCKET FOR LATER TO CONSIDER A BUDDING ARTISTS PROGRAM RATINGS, SHIT BROUGHT SOME UP AND IT'S REALLY TICKLED SOMETHING IN ME.

I GREW UP IN A HOUSE WHERE WE DIDN'T HAVE TWO, SIX RUBBED TOGETHER.

MY MOM DID HER BEST AND HE WAS AWESOME.

BUT UM, SOME HOUSEHOLDS YOU'VE GOT PEOPLE IN THERE THAT COULD USE IT.

AND SOMEHOW HOW DO WE REACH OUT TO THEM AS ARTS AND BEAUTIFICATION? IT'S A SIDELINE TO THIS, BUT IT'S SOMETHING WE PROBABLY SHOULD THINK ABOUT IF WE COULD, BUT SAVE IT FOR LATER.

ALL RIGHT.

I DIDN'T, I DIDN'T CATCH ALL OF THAT.

GAVIN.

MY APOLOGIES.

UH, SOME HOUSEHOLDS ARE NOT, UM, WELL-STOCKED IN ABILITY OR IN, WHAT DO YOU CALL IT SUPPLIES FOR, FOR THE BUDDING ARTIST AND FOR A FUTURE MEETING A BUDDING ARTISTS PROGRAM, HOW DO WE SUPPORT THAT EITHER WITH THE SCHOOLS OR OTHERS, BUT SOMETHING THAT WOULD HELP THEM GROW AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANY, SHE BROUGHT UP A GOOD POINT NOW, HOW DO WE TRY TO LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD A LITTLE BIT FOR THOSE GUYS.

GOTCHA.

RIGHT.

AND BECAUSE THIS PARTNERSHIP WITH THIS SCHOOL IS JUST KIND OF GETTING BACK ON TRACK.

THAT IS SOMETHING WE CAN, UM, BRING UP TO THEM.

HOW CAN WE WORK WITH THEM TO SEE THAT THAT CAN HAPPEN.

YEP.

AND YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO HIT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL AND THEN ALSO THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN THE END, BUT THAT'S ALL INCLUSIVE.

I STARTED TO TAKE TIME UP NOW, BUT THAT'S JUST SOMETHING THAT HIT ME AND SAID, WE REALLY SHOULD TRY FOR THAT.

SURE.

AND RONISHA BECAUSE I DO THINK THAT BEING, UM, ARTS IN OUR NAME, WE DO NEED TO TRY TO DO MORE OF THAT.

WE NEED TO GEAR TOWARDS THAT DIRECTION.

SO ANY OF THOSE KINDS OF IDEAS ARE GREAT.

OKAY.

ARE WE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE WITH THE ART SHOW AND WHAT WE NEED TO DISCUSS THERE? IF YOU GOT EVERYTHING YOU NEED JERRY RIGHT NOW? WELL, THE NEXT PART OF THAT IS, UM, LIKE I SAID, IT'S GOING TO BE FOUR HOUR, LIKE FOUR HOURS ON SATURDAY, TWO ON SUNDAY.

THAT COULD BE ADJUSTED.

THAT'S JUST KINDA OF WHAT WE GRABBED AT, BUT I'VE GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE SOME MEMBERS THERE.

UM, DO YOU WANT TO BE THERE THE WHOLE AMOUNT? OH, AS FAR AS VOLUNTEERS SHOULD MANAGE YES.

KIND OF HELP MOVE THE CROWD, UM, CORRECTLY.

OKAY.

OKAY.

I HAVE ALL THAT DOCUMENTED FOR YOU, GARY IN WRITING WHEN I SEE YOU NEXT WEEK, AS FAR AS THE VOLUNTEERS.

OKAY.

WONDERFUL.

WONDERFUL.

OKAY.

OKAY.

YES.

IF THE COMMITTEE HELP WITH THAT PART, THAT WOULD BE GREAT.

WE DO HAVE ANOTHER MEETING BEFORE THAT, BUT YEAH, EVERYBODY'S GOTTA BE THINKING ABOUT WHAT TIME MAKING COMMIT TO OUR FUTURE EVENTS BECAUSE WE DO NEED TO REALLY, YOU KNOW, COMMIT TO SOME, SOME, UM, TIME SPENT ON ALL OF OUR EVENTS COMING UP AND, AND UM, SO THAT IT DOESN'T FALL ALL ON JUST A FEW HANDFUL OF PEOPLE.

SO, AND AGAIN ARE ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME ONES THAT WE'VE ALWAYS DONE

[00:45:01]

AND WE JUST DO THEM OVER AND OVER.

SO TAKING ON THESE NEW ONES, IT IS GOING TO BE A LITTLE ROCKY GET THROUGH IT.

SO I APPRECIATE ALL YOUR ATTENTION, ALL YOUR CALM AND ALL YOUR CALORIES.

BUT WE DO NEED TO, UM, LIKE I SAY, THIS IS, THIS ONE CAME ON QUICK AND WE HAD TO KIND OF MOVE ON IT.

RIGHT.

SO MIDDY IS GOING TO GET BACK WITH US ON REFRESHMENT IDEAS OF VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE AND TYPE OF PARTICIPATION, WHETHER IT BE A CERTIFICATE OR A, A RIBBON, SOMETHING THAT WE COULD PERHAPS GO TO WAYNE SPORTING GOATS AND SEE IF THEY CAN PROVIDE US THAT CERTIFICATES CAN ALWAYS BE PRINTED UP HERE.

YEAH.

AND THEN ONCE THE LEGAL GETS THE ARTWORK DONE FOR THE ADVERTISEMENT, IT WOULD BE ADVERTISED ON THE CITY'S PAGE.

FIRST THAT WE WOULD THEN SHARE TO THE A AND B PAGE.

WHAT EXACTLY IS GOING TO BE THE NAME OF IT THEN? UH, LET'S SEE.

HUBER HEIGHTS, COMMUNITY ART EXHIBITION, HUBER HEIGHTS, COMMUNITY ART EXHIBITION.

RIGHT? DOES THE COMMITTEE HAVE EVERYTHING? THANK YOU.

NEED TO GO MOVE FORWARD WITH YOUR MEETING AND JERRY, ARE YOU GOOD? I MEAN, WE CAN, SO WE CAN MOVE ON TO OUR NEXT.

YEP.

NEXT ITEM ON THE AGENDA.

T-MOBILE NAME IS NOT GOING TO BE ON THAT OTHER THAN JUST SAY THEY'RE A SPONSOR.

IT SAYS HUBER HEIGHTS, COMMUNITY ARTISTS, EXHIBITION, UM, BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE ARTS COMMISSION SPONSORED BY T-MOBILE.

SO I MEAN THEIR NAME, IT'S ALL ONE BIG, BIG CONGLOMERATE, BUT, UM, AND T MOBILE, BUT THAT'S CLEARED UP NOW WE CAN MOVE ON.

OKAY, GARY, THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK.

I KNOW IT TAKES A LOT TO GET THESE THINGS GOING HERE.

ARE WE DONE WITH, YEAH, THAT WOULD BE GOOD IF WE GET SOME COOPERATION WITH THEM GOING FORWARD TOO, AND OTHER THINGS.

SO, YES, BECAUSE I DID TALK TO HIM ABOUT THE 4TH OF JULY.

OH, OKAY.

OKAY.

UM, ARE WE READY TO MOVE ON TO OUR ELECTION OF OFFICERS? YEAH.

YOU SKIPPED SOME, OH, I'M LOOKING AT MY AGENDA.

NOT YOUR AGENDA.

LET'S SEE.

WHAT HAVE I GOT HERE? OH, OKAY.

THE DATES, UM, STAR-SPANGLED CELEBRATION LOOKS LIKE SATURDAY AGE, LIKE THIRD, WHICH IS TRADITIONALLY WE DO THE SATURDAY.

4TH OF JULY.

IS ART ARE OUR PARTICIPATION IN THE STAR-SPANGLED CELEBRATION? IS THAT GOING TO BE JUST THE PARADE THIS YEAR OR LIKE WE DID LAST YEAR? NO.

OKAY.

LET'S SEE.

SO STAR-SPANGLED CELEBRATIONS.

SORRY.

I GOT SOMEBODY THERE CONTACTED ME.

STAR-SPANGLED CELEBRATION IS ON JULY THE THIRD.

JUST TO CLEAR THAT UP.

IT DOESN'T HAPPEN ON SUNDAY.

IT DOES HAPPEN ON SATURDAY.

WE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE AGAIN FOR WHATEVER HAPPENS ON THAT DAY.

UM, AND THE FESTIVAL, I'M SORRY, JULY 3RD IS A SATURDAY, RIGHT? YES.

I'M NOT ON SUNDAY, WHICH IS THE FOURTH.

RIGHT? WE'LL HAVE THE CELEBRATION SATURDAY, DEPENDING ON WHERE IT IS, WILL DEPEND ON THE FESTIVAL.

HAD YOU HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT IT PARTNERING WITH THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY FOR THE 40TH BIRTHDAY FOR THAT DAY? YES.

I TALKED WITH PAT GET TO THAT PART IS JUST A SECOND.

SO THESE WERE JUST DATES THAT I WANTED YOU ALL TO BE AWARE OF AND TO HAVE THE MARIGOLD STRESSFUL IS ALWAYS THE SECOND SATURDAY IN SEPTEMBER.

THAT FALLS ON SEPTEMBER 11TH.

OKAY.

ARE YOU WANTING TO HAVE A FESTIVAL ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF SEPTEMBER 11TH? WELL, I THINK WE CAN STILL MOVE FORWARD.

IT IS ANOTHER DAY.

OKAY.

WE JUST HAD TO BRING THAT UP, GET YOUR THOUGHT ON THAT.

ANYBODY ELSE? OKAY.

I'M OKAY WITH THAT.

YEAH, I WOULD AGREE.

I THINK WE, IF WE'VE TRADITIONALLY, I'VE DONE IT ON THAT, ON THAT SATURDAY, THEN IT

[00:50:01]

FALLS ON THAT DAY.

MAYBE WE CAN TAKE A MINUTE AND REMEMBER THOSE.

THAT'S A GREAT IDEA.

GOOD IDEA.

OKAY.

HOLD ON.

OKAY.

SO THE MOVIE NIGHTS, AGAIN, THERE'LL BE FIVE MOVIES, PARKS AND REC WILL PICK TWO.

YOU GUYS WILL PICK THREE.

WE DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE THE CATALOG OF MOVIES FROM SWANK FOR THE MOVIES THEMSELVES TO BE PICKED YET, BUT WE DO NEED TO GET SOME DATES FIRMED UP.

THERE ARE OTHER, UM, COMMISSIONS AND BOARDS WHO DO THINGS AND GRAB DATES ON THE CALENDAR.

SO I WANTED YOU GUYS TO GET IN THERE QUICKLY BECAUSE IT IS EARLY IN JANUARY.

YOU SEE THE WORK FAST.

IF YOU ALL ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH THAT, UM, THE FIVE WOULD BE JUNE, JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER, AND OCTOBER.

OKAY.

SO IN JUNE, THE MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL HAS ALREADY BEEN PUT ON TENTATIVELY JUNE THE 12TH.

NOW THAT'S NOT US.

THAT IS THE WHITE BOARD HERE ALREADY GRABBING THAT DAY.

WHAT PORT IS THAT? MULTICULTURAL AND DIVERSITY CITIZENS.

ACTION BOARD.

YEAH, WE HAVE ONE.

YES.

I'M NOT THROWING ROCKS IS SURPRISED THAT THAT WORD DOES THAT EXPLORE SOMETHING? OKAY.

THERE WE GO.

YES.

JUNE THE 12TH, JERRY, THAT IS A CITY.

IS THAT A CITY BOARD? THAT'S UM, RHONDA, SOMEWHERE ON THAT, IT IS A CITY BOARD.

YES.

IT MAY BE A COMMISSION.

I MAY HAVE THAT WRONG, BUT IT MAY.

YES.

YEAH.

OKAY.

UM, SO THE ONLY OTHER DATE THAT I HAVE TO REALLY GUIDE YOU TO IS THE OCTOBER ONE THAT WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO BE THE 16TH.

OKAY.

UM, BECAUSE WE HAVE TO LET THE ROWS FINISH OUT THEIR SCHEDULE SO WE CAN HAVE IT BEFORE THAT.

I'M SORRY IF THEY GET ONE.

EXACTLY.

I'M FEELING BAD FOR IT.

I'M NOT THROWING ROCKS.

ALL RIGHT.

SO WE HAVE TO COME UP WITH SOME DATES.

OKAY.

SO THE 12TH HOUSE PRETTY SURE IS OUT, CORRECT.

THAT'S GOING TO BE THE MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL THEN WHAT YOU JUST SAID.

OKAY.

SO THE FIFTH IS FINE WITH ME.

WHAT? I'M LOOKING AT MY CALENDAR HERE.

SO JUNE 5TH, THAT WOULD BE THE FIRST SATURDAY.

CAN WE JUST GO WITH THE FIRST SATURDAY FOR EVERY MOM? I'M SORRY.

JULY TO JULY.

OKAY.

SO HOW ABOUT THE SECOND SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH? BECAUSE THAT WOULD, THAT WOULD FALL IN LINE WITH WELL, PARKS AND RECS GOING TO PICK THE OTHER TWO, RIGHT? OR ARE WE, ARE WE SUPPOSED TO SET THE DATES AND THEY PICK THE MOVIE.

OKAY.

BUT YOU CAN'T JUST SAY THE SECOND.

CAUSE YOU'VE GOT SEPTEMBER 11TH IN THERE.

I GOT YA JUNE BECAUSE OF SCHOOL AND FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND, WHICH IS WHAT? YEAH.

SO WE MIGHT WANT TO PICK THE 26 FOR DUDE.

OKAY.

IF THEY'RE HAVING SOMETHING ON THE 12TH, THE CIS SCHOOLS ENDING THAT WEEK, THAT MAKES SENSE TO ME, 26TH OF JUNE.

WHAT NUMBER ARE WE GOING TO GET? SET THE DATES AND THEN VOTE ALL AT ONCE.

YEAH.

THAT WAY.

OKAY.

SO THEN JULY, WE'VE GOT EVERYTHING ON THE THIRD.

SO MAYBE THE SEVENTH.

YEAH.

YOU HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF TIME.

SOME PEOPLE TAKE JULY 4TH AND THAT WHOLE WEEK AND MAYBE SOME OF THAT EXTRA VACATION.

SO 17TH I WORK.

OKAY.

AND THEN BRINGS US TO AUGUST WHEN SCHOOL STARTS, SCHOOL STARTS THE 19TH.

OH, MAYBE THE 14TH THEN

[00:55:04]

AUGUST GIVE THEM A LAST WEEKEND EVENTS TO DO BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS.

WE COULD DO A BACK TO SCHOOL BATHS KIND OF THING.

THAT WOULD BE GOOD.

YEAH.

FOR THE KIDS ARE REMINDING THEM.

HUH? YEAH.

ALL THE PARENTS ARE DOING IT.

YEAH.

OKAY.

SO THEN THAT TAKES US TO SEPTEMBER AND WE GOT SEPTEMBER 11TH, MAYOR GOLD.

SO MAYBE THE 25TH, WE WANT TO SKIP A WEEKEND.

OKAY.

THE ONLY REASON I DON'T LIKE GOING OUT THAT FAR IN SEPTEMBER IS WEATHER.

OH YEAH.

I MEAN, I KNOW WE'VE GOT THE ONE IN OCTOBER, BUT THAT'S MORE OF AN INDOOR TYPE THING 18TH OR THE FOURTH? NO, THE 18TH LEAVE THE LE THE LABOR DAY ALONE OR PEOPLE, THEY SKIPPED TOWN THEN.

OKAY.

THE 18TH OR, YOU KNOW, WE DON'T HAVE THAT POSSIBILITY OF MAKING THIS PART OF THE MIRACLE FESTIVAL.

OH, I DIDN'T THINK ABOUT, OR WE WANT TO MAYBE WANT TO DO A MOVIE THE EVENING OF THE MIRACLE FESTIVAL, BUT THAT THAT'S A LONG DAY FOR VOLUNTEERING.

I WAS GOING TO SAY, I DON'T WANT TO DO TWO EVENTS IN ONE DAY, THEN THAT WORKS.

OKAY.

OKAY.

AND THEN WE'VE ALREADY GOT THE 16TH FOR OCTOBER, ALTHOUGH IT WOULD, IT WOULDN'T DOUBLING THEM UP AND BRING MORE PEOPLE INTO THE MARIGOLD.

I'M ALL FOR BUILDING THAT UP.

IF WE CAN, EVEN THOUGH IT'S A LONGER DAY, JUST GO THOUGHT.

THE OTHER THOUGHT WAS WE TALKED ABOUT SHOW TO THE MARIGOLD FESTIVAL.

SO WE HAD TALKED ABOUT ADDING A CAR SHOW TO THE MARIGOLD FESTIVAL, OR WE CAN BE THE CAR SHOW WITH THE OCTOBER ONE.

IT BRINGS OUR BODIES AND THAT THE MAYOR WOULD BE A BIGGER DRAW THAN THE, UH, THE, THE MOVIE WOULD FOR A CAR SHOW.

SO I THINK THE CAR SHOWS SHOULD STAY WITH THE OCTOBER ONE AT THE ROSE, BUT ISN'T EICHELBERGER CLOSED, NOT EICHELBERGER.

THE KROGER'S ONE PARK IS CLOSED BY THEN.

YEAH.

BUT GAVIN, THE CAR SHOW AT, AT, AT THE ROSE WAS THERE'S THAT MANY, THERE WERE SO MANY CARS.

THERE'S NOT ENOUGH.

OKAY.

SO IF YOU WANT TO THINK ABOUT THE MOVIE ON THE 11TH.

YEAH.

WE CLOSED IT OUT ONE LESS NIGHT FOR US TO HAVE TO RUN AROUND GUYS.

WELL, THAT'S TRUE.

I MEAN, IF WE'RE ALREADY, ALREADY THERE FOR THE MARIGOLD FESTIVAL, WE COULD JUST MAKE IT A FULL DAY AND WE'VE CAN DO SHIFTS.

I MEAN, THERE'S, THERE'S SEVERAL OF US.

WE ONLY NEED A COUPLE OF PEOPLE FINE.

AND WE'RE NOT DOING THE GRILLING LIKE WE USED TO DO.

WE'RE NOT DOING ALL THAT KIND OF STUFF.

SO I MEAN, REALLY THEY SET UP THE MOVIE AND PEOPLE WATCHING SO WELL, LET'S DO, LET'S GO WITH THE MARIGOLD FESTIVAL OR WITH THE MOVIE NIGHT IN SEPTEMBER ON THE 11TH AND JUST MAKE IT ONE BIG DAY FESTIVAL, USUALLY SEVEN.

OKAY.

SO IT WOULD FALL.

IT WOULD, IT WOULD FLOW EASILY INTO A MOVIE NIGHT, SO, OKAY.

I MEAN, IF I HAVE NO OTHER OBJECTIONS FROM EVERYBODY ELSE, YOU CAN EVEN KEEP THE FOOD TRUCKS LONGER IF THEY WANT TO STAY FOR THE MOVIE.

YEP.

THINKING THAT YOU MIGHT ACTUALLY DO EXTREMELY WELL BETTER THAN EVER WITH THE MARIGOLD FESTIVAL, BECAUSE WE HAVE SO MANY PEOPLE THAT HOPEFULLY COVID WILL BE GONE THAT WANT TO GET OUT AND BE A PART OF IT, YOU KNOW, AS FAR AS VENDORS.

AND I THINK, I THINK IT WILL BE BOOMING.

I REALLY DO.

I'M GOING TO READ THESE DATES, HAVE A MOTION MADE AND TAKE A VOTE.

SO PICK TO JUNE 26 AND LET SAY FIRST, I DON'T KNOW WHICH TWO ARE GOING TO BE DRIVING AND WHICH TWO ARE GOING TO BE EICHELBERGER.

I DON'T HAVE THAT SET YET.

WELL, SEPTEMBER IS DEFINITELY ANKLE BURGER.

I'M SORRY.

SEPTEMBER DEFINITELY EICHELBERGER, BUT YEAH, THE ROSE.

OKAY.

SO THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE OTHER ONE AT THE EICHELBERGER.

THE OTHER TWO WOULD BE DRIVE-INS AT CLOUD, BUT JUNE 26TH, JULY 17TH, AUGUST 14TH, SEPTEMBER 11TH

[01:00:02]

AND OCTOBER 16TH.

AND I DO THINK THOSE ARE PRETTY NICELY SPACED OUT.

YEAH.

SO CAN I GET A MOTION FROM SOMEBODY TO ACCEPT THE DATES? JUST READ BY JERRY FOR THE MOVIE NIGHTS.

I SECOND.

OKAY.

JERRY RICE.

GREAT.

GOOD MOTION.

AND GAVIN MADE THIS SECOND, CORRECT? OKAY.

UM, MS. DAVIDSON, MR. FOX? YES.

MS. QUINNIE.

YES.

MS. MYSTIQUE.

YES.

MS. UPSHAW? YES.

MR. WILSON? YES.

AND MS. BRANDENBURG? YES.

OKAY.

ALL RIGHT.

SO WE HAVE THE DATE SET AND LIKE I SAY, AS SOON AS I GET THAT CATALOG, THAT WILL BE KIND OF DISTRIBUTED OUT AND WE CAN LOOK AT THEM AND
